I may have said a few days ago that I wouldn't reward an Elite Eight appearance with a post, but I have decided that another Final Four appearance for Mr. Pitino makes it worthwhile. And so here we are.
Rick Pitino is a basketball coach (of course). He coaches college ball for Louisville right now, but is also known for his stints at Providence and Kentucky, as well as time coaching in the NBA. Some people also know him for is his hair and/or clothes. He's the only coach to lead 3 different schools to the NCAA Final Four. I imagine some people might not like him, but his teams have won. A lot. And over the weekend, I heard Mike Lupica call him a genius.

This press conference didn't win him any favors in Boston, and he wasn't very successful there.
Whoa. I posted about Rick Pitino at lunch, and then I come home from work and see that ESPN has a front page story on him? Copycats. Get your own ideas, ESPN.
ReplyDeleteI seem to remember Rick had a few indiscretions as well. The name Rick is hard to live up to.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the link underneath his photo in the post actually goes to an article about his scandal, too. Probably should have mentioned that. I just didn't really feel like messing around with doing a write-up on it.
ReplyDeleteApparently, Rick Pitino just found out he won't make the basketball hall of fame this year
ReplyDeleteDear Rick Pitino, maybe you should tell your players to foul when they're down in the final minute instead of giving up dunks.
