My mom has a few of these books, and that's where I got the idea. I'm not sure if people have heard of these. They're old-school children's books by Maj Lindman about Swedish triplets. Obviously, Ricka is the best of the three. Amazingly enough, they have not one, but two Facebook pages (here and here).
Thanks to the magic of the internet, today's post is a choose your own adventure:
You can either pick a lady telling you how wholesome the books are or you can listen to some dude read a book to a kid (and then he can wonder why his clip has new views). I suppose you could also do both if you're so inclined
That guy annoyed me. His daughter looks like Ricka.
ReplyDeleteIt seems odd a children's series would have a character named Dicka.
ReplyDeleteYou know what else "seems odd"? That someone would post two completely inane comments in succession -- without any input from another person. Sounds like someone is trying to run up the score w.r.t. the new commenter cloud!
ReplyDeleteWell, now that I have input from another inane commenter I can add another comment. Boom. Btw, if you want your cloud to be bigger, use the same profile each time you comment.
ReplyDeleteNow, now, gentlemen. Most inane comments are welcomed here as long as they somewhat relate to the post. What a great way to increase traffic to Rick Show!
ReplyDeleteAxe, you're Scandinavian. Can't you inform us about whether or not Dicka has the same giggly connotations there?
ReplyDeleteAnd Brumpel...why would you ever assume anyone was trying to comment just for the sake of getting more comments?
ReplyDeleteSince you asked, Dicka the Green was on par with Erik the Red in Scandinavian lore but since his name was Dicka, he was mostly forgotten about. I might change my profile name to Dicka the Green. Oh wait, then I would have comments from two profiles and have a smaller cloud.
ReplyDeleteDespite my last comment at 2:20 PM, I decided to go ahead and create (and comment from) a second profile because I realized that that's what cool people do.
ReplyDeletep.s. Oh crap, I just noticed that I must have mistyped "Dicka Frau" instead of "Dicka the Green." All this inane commenting I'm doing must be affecting my concentration...
While DtG would have been a nice compliment to EtR, Dicka Frau is also a good choice.
ReplyDeletePlease playa....Dicka the Green can't hold a candle to EtR!!! Representin'
