YEAR FOUR

I hate to admit, this year's birthday sort of sneaked up on me, so I didn't work up any elaborate post.   That being the case, let's forego the usual shenanigans.   There's no need to put in some innocent-looking link and have it be a rick roll again this year.  

Let us just link back to the founding of Rick Show, lest we forget our humble beginnings.  

Then post our annual hidden-camera dancing video...

Then remind everyone to follow on twitter dot com at @RickShowIA.  Then we can all continue on with our Rickin' lives, and hope for another year of Rick.

YEAR THREE

It's been three years since Rick Show was founded.  THREE!  Let that sink in.  It's pretty ridiculous.  Absurd.  Completely irrational.   THREE years spent scouring the internet for rick-related materials to provide to you all.

Did I mention how absurd that is?  How utterly absurd that feels to me?  Also, have I used the word absurd yet?

Luckily, to balance, I know something that's not absurd.  Not at all.  No way.  No how.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICK SHOW

In hindsight, I probably should have bought a Necker's Jewelers ad @ Kinnick...oh, well.

Year Two

it's been now two years that I've shown you the Rick

and 'twill continue until we tire of the schtick

Y2 started with wrestling, a doc played by a child

but also some comedy, and an arm oh so wild

a great 80s song*, then a classic rebound

and a missed connection and a gin drink were found

we talked hoopsters and Addams and sellers of pine

all while sweating off pounds and crossing some lines

demigods, puppets, a milestone post

 "Boom, baby!", Brick House, and a Dutchman we boast

we combined, produced, and managed to rock

drank up, coached, and honored a Hawk

we talked ERAs, Woodstock and a lyric faux-pas 

drillin', restorin', and a muscular jaw

Rick Show's modestly dressed, aside from our tats

and we braved flying babies and zombie attacks

we had horrible music, with a rural abode

a comedian, a hostess, and a curse from a goat

a tale on the diamond, watters running so smooth

some beer, some hair, and musical flutes

and sprinkled throughout, we watched other rick shows

we, too, mourned our losses. a list, sadly, that grows

and so...that's what has happened during Rick Show: Year 2

as our collection of rickage most certainly grew

*p.p.s  I just found out that he's recording again.  A reggae album, including Snoop Dogg, er, Lion.  See this.  The first single is actually not too shabby.

Rick Show: Year 1

It was on this date one year ago that something miraculous happened on the internet.  While the whole nation was huddled around their radios and laptops listening to and blogging along with the latest thrilling episode of  the now off-air Rock Show, the hosts engaged in a spirited discussion about some Rick-named artists.  And then this happened:
