Some time ago, we talked about Rikki Tikki Tavi, the animated show. A somewhat classic cartoon, great for kids. This is not the same. It's interesting, though. This is a rock song by the group Fair to Midland. They were formed in 1998 and hail from the Dallas, TX area. They unfortunately have no members named Rick.

Here are the lyrics, if you want.
The thing about this song is that...I don't mind it. It gets stuck in my head every time I listen to it as well.
ReplyDeleteI never heard this on any of Grant's kids CDs. I wonder why?
ReplyDeleteOh but I do want the lyrics. I had to look no further than the 2nd line ("I am not a machine so don't treat me like buttons") to determine that this song is a-m-a-z-i-n-g.
ReplyDeletePerhaps there's a section of Rikki Tikki Tavi the cartoon that syncs up with this song, "Dark Side"-like.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I hope everyone got the play on words with the band's name. If not, I see that the wikipedia page explains it, which kind of ruins it for me.
Oh gee - it's my favorite music genre! Excuse me while I go and find a razor blade...
