Rick Rubin

Rick Rubin is a record producer.  His real name is Frederick, but I'm sure we're all okay with him going by Rick.  He's the co-president of Columbia Records and was a founder of Def Jam Records, so he obviously knows his stuff.

Sorry for the tease.  I HAD a clip with Rick and Lil Jon all lined up, but then it disappeared from YouTube because the user had their account terminated.  Instead, just to show how versatile Rick is, I'll use the Dixie Chicks clip.

    He has always amazed me. A seeming eccentric white guy who is one of the biggest rap producers ever.

    Not to mention, he produced the Weezer album that had their first #1 Billboard chart topper, Beverly Hills. What a great Rick!

    Yeah, he's pretty amazing. He seems to be able to work with any artist, any genre. And you'd never even know he existed most of the time.

    Oh, and I really wish that Lil Jon clip wasn't removed. From what I recall, it was pretty good. That's what I get for sitting on an idea for a while, I suppose.
