Football season has started, so Rick Neuheisel has something to do. It won't be coaching, though, for the first time in a while. Rick's been coaching since 1988 between the NCAA and NFL, most recently coaching his alma mater, UCLA, from 2008-2011. His head coaching record of 87-59 isn't spectacular, but it's not too horrible, either. Plenty of coaches end up doing far worse.
This year he'll be a studio and game analyst for the Pac-12 networks
He once apologized to the fans after a football game for how bad his team was:
And after the jump, you can see him jumping off diving boards with his players...
I didn't promise it would be exciting.
Not exciting?!?!? All I know is that immensely deep team bonding powered them to a 30-21 victory over the powerhouse of Temple. C'mon!
ReplyDeleteHe always seemed like a bit of a weasel to me. Slick Rick.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more coaches stand up and say "Well, that was tough to watch" after a bad loss.
