The New Year is when many people make goals for the upcoming year to improve themselves. Based on what TV and the internet tell me, a lot of those goals have to do with getting in better shape physically or losing weight. Fear not, friends, Rick Show has exactly what you're looking for:
(plus, you get to wear awesome clothes!)
I can't imagine what it would be like to have been one of those people in a Richard Simmons video.
ReplyDeleteI just found that my public library has "Richard Simmons 80s blast-off" and "Richard Simmons 60s blast-off" dvds. Should I check one out to prove my loyalty to ricks? If so, which one? Also, will I feel dumb since I have no brightly colored workout clothing?
ReplyDeleteI like 80s music better so that is what I would choose. You might need to invest in some not quite matching spandex.
ReplyDeleteIn a shocking turn of events, I was just at the library, and all of the richard simmons dvds are checked out. That can only lead me to believe that rick show readers have stormed the library hunting for them following this post.
DeleteI just watched that first clip again...there's something so mesmerizing about it (and hilarious). There is so much going on, so many things to notice.
ReplyDelete***REVIEW TIME***
ReplyDeleteI happened to remember this post as I was in the library over the weekend. I found the Richard Simmons' 60s DVD and gave it a shot. It's...well...I found it a little hard to follow. He just switches moves all the sudden and just barely gets into a pattern when it's time to switch for a new song. Sometimes even the people dancing on the video look confused about what to do. I supposed if I committed to doing it many times I could get it down. Also, maybe I'm just bad at following along with dancing videos.
