Rick Springfield

Jessie's Girl is one of my favorite 80s songs. 
 In fact, I might even go so far as to call it the best song by a Rick from the early 80s.  
If nothing else, it has to be one of the best songs ever that uses the word "moot," right?

    I wonder what Jessie's girl's name is? It probably is something really ugly as he is obviously avoiding mentioning it. Something like Helga.

    Maybe her name is Jessica, and it would have been awkward because you'd never know who he was talking about. So he just references her instead of saying her name.
