Okay, so I'm sure you've all seen wood. You've probably also seen wood stacked up. Maybe against a shed, a barn, a garage or just hanging out in a yard. You may have thought "look at that pile of wood."
But here's the thing:
Maybe it wasn't just a pile of wood. Maybe it was a rick of wood! A rick of wood isn't an official measurement, so there can be variations in the specifics depending on who you ask or where you live. However, it is usually a stack of wood that is 4 feet tall, 8 feet long and as wide as the piece of firewood (typically about 16 inches).
So, keep an eye out, Rick Show readers. There might be ricks in your neighborhood that you never noticed before.
Some neighbors of ours were splitting wood yesterday and now I have an incentive to sneak into their backyard and find their rick.
ReplyDeleteYou should go and measure it and if it is off of 8 feet by 4 feet by 16 inches, then give them a notice that their *pfft* "pile" is not an officially licensed Rick Show Rick of Wood.
ReplyDeleteI just remembered that my parents have some wood in their garage that might be around the right size. I need to remember to measure next time I'm there
ReplyDeleteI have maybe about a halfrick in my backyard. Yes, I just invented that term out of thin air, as far as I can tell.
ReplyDeleteIt's official. My parents have a rick of wood
