Branch Rickey was a Major League Baseball executive who was responsible for breaking the color barrier in MLB with the signing of Jackie Robinson. He also drafted Roberto Clemente, created the modern farm system for the minor leagues and introduced the batting helmet. What a guy!

Mr Rickey is in the Baseball Hall of Fame (obviously). He was born in 1881 and died in 1965.

People should name their kids Branch more. That was our backup name if Grant didn't work out.
